Two Locals, One Mission

London Bike Tours was born from a simple idea: the best way to experience a city is by bike, with someone who actually lives there.

We're Alex and Sam, Barbican residents who have spent years exploring London's streets, parks, and hidden corners on two wheels. The Barbican isn't just our base of operations - it's where we live. We cycle these roads every day. We know which alley cuts through to which courtyard, which pub has stood on the same corner since the seventeenth century, and which Roman ruin is hiding underneath the car park on Aldersgate Street.

We started London Bike Tours because we kept meeting visitors who wanted something more personal than a coach tour and more informative than a self-guided map - people who'd already done the museums and wanted to actually understand the city. We designed three routes for them.

Every route has been ridden by us hundreds of times. We've refined them based on guest feedback, changed them when roadworks moved, and tested every story we tell to make sure it lands. We keep groups small - maximum 10 - because we believe a great tour is a conversation, not a broadcast.

Our Values

Small groups, always

We will never take more than 10 riders on an open tour. This is a business decision we've made deliberately and will not reverse. Guides can tell stories to 10 people; they broadcast to 20.

Genuinely local content

Our guides are qualified cycling leaders with a genuine obsession with London history. The stories we tell come from years of research and living in the City - not a script written in an office somewhere else.

Safety as standard

Our routes prioritise cycle paths, quiet back streets, and riverside roads. Every guide carries a first aid kit and is trained in cycle safety. Our bikes are maintained daily and checked before every departure.

Premium without the pretension

We charge a fair price for a premium experience. We don't do flash-sale discounting, last-minute deals, or countdown timers. What you see is what you pay.
